Secret messages and flower arrangements once went hand-in-hand. Flowers and other plants—both native and exotic—were used to send messages, deliver warnings, heal the sick, or even bring about an untimely end. These beautiful hazards still linger in modern medicine, backyard gardens, vibrant bouquets, and even the painted patterns on dishware. Artist Mary Vozenilek, a recent Ball State University MFA graduate in ceramics, will guide this exploration into the fascinating language of plants and the timeless tradition of floral motifs on our very own dinnerware.

Preregistration is encouraged. Limited walk-in seating may be available, so please call ahead.
