March 16; 12–2 p.m. | Center Building, Indiana Room
Free Community Event | $15 Lunch Option Available
Join Joshua Harris-Till, cousin of Emmett Till, for a thoughtful Lunch & Learn exploring the power of personal history and its relevance to today’s community work. Through storytelling and guided conversation, Joshua shares his family’s lived connection to a pivotal moment in American history and reflects on how remembrance, justice, and empathy continue to shape civic engagement. Participants will engage in meaningful dialogue about how history informs collaboration, advocacy, and service. As Muncie’s nonprofit and community networks continue to grow, this conversation encourages reflection on how shared understanding and empathy foster stronger partnerships and a more connected, inclusive future.
Two ticket options are available to fit your preference: a complimentary Attendance Only ticket or a $15 Attendance + Lunch ticket. Beverages—iced tea, lemonade, and water—are included with both options. Guests are also welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer. Guests who select the lunch ticket will enjoy a vegetarian corn chowder and a Creole Caesar salad with cornbread croutons, with optional chicken served on the side.
